We welcome Joe White, Washington DC master painter, back to the Jane Haslem Gallery stable. His first one-person exhibition was in our "P Street" location in 1974. He has traveled extensively and absorbed the essence of where ever he went. His work has been shown regularly and many of his paintings are now in permanent collections of both museums and collectors. White refers to himself as an "abstract painter" and he has always remained true to his vision. His current exhibition begins with architecture but more than that, it is quiet, refined, and yet complex. His mastery of paint application and color is so sophisticated that upon first glance one doesn't realize each of the shapes is made up of many colors. Come see for yourself.
