The moebius strip, a single-sided surface, is created by putting a twist in a long rectangular piece of paper and gluing the ends together. If you trace your finger around a moebius strip you move infinitely around on a single surface; inside becomes outside, outside becomes inside, up becomes down, and down up.

Because of these ambiguities a moebius seemed an appropriate metaphor for exploring the enormity and complexity of this catastrophic event.

The eight moebius strips also form a spectrum. Just as a single color is a component part of the spectrum each print, marked by a single central color band, focuses an aspect.   Green, 2002

Like all collages these prints were made from found and created visuals, however, rather held together by glue these images were united digitally.
